| Abstract: | Der vorliegende Beitrag soll die zentralen Ergebnisse zum Einsatz elektronischer Überwachung (EÜ) in Schottland zusammenfassen und hieraus gefolgerte Empfehlungen vorstellen.[1]Das schottische Forschungsprojekt ist ebenfalls ein Teil des länderübergreifenden Gesamtvorhabens, das den Einsatz von EÜ in den Ländern Belgien, Deutschland, England und Wales, den Niederlanden und Schottland vergleicht und die „Kreativität“ in der Umsetzung sowie den möglichen Nutzen vom EÜ als Alternative zum Gefängnis beleuchtet.[2] Die empirische Forschung, die dem Beitrag zugrunde liegt, wurde im Jahr 2015 durchgeführt und setzt sich zusammen aus 30 Interviews mit verschiedenen Akteuren mit Bezug zum Themenfeld EÜ, der Auswertung der verfügbaren statistischen Daten sowie des publizierten Erkenntnisstandes und 53 Stunden teilnehmender Beobachtungen des Überwachungsprozesses, insbesondere durch die Begleitung der Justizbeamten beim Kontakt mit dem Probanden in dessen Wohnung sowie durch den Besuch des Personals in der nationalen Überwachungszentrale. |
