Abstract: Explores Indian domestic law in resect of passing off, trademark and copyright and argues for a statutory stand-alone image right that would provide a more coherent framework. Discusses employment disputes in West Indies cricket and analogous issues in EU member states' domestic laws to show how these challenges are of global relevance to athletes and to legal systems.
