Artlink Central is launching a new product Creating Conversations: Gardening. This is a creative activity toolkit designed for activities coordinators, care staff and volunteers to deliver group activities for older people, including those with dementia. The intended benefits include prompting reminiscence and supporting constructive conversation to engage with personal histories and build social connections in day care and residential care settings. In conjunction with staff at the University of Stirling, the current project has assessed these aspects of engagement to: evaluate whether the pilot product delivers such benefits, and identify improvements that can enhance the toolkit’s impact in these areas.en_UK
