dc.description.abstract | First paragraph: It is inevitable that at some point in the future you will hand over the management of your sanctuary to someone else, but what is not inevitable is how this happens. You may be caught up in the day-to-day management of the sanctuary, and it can be a struggle to think about or plan for the future. But what would happen if you became ill or had to go away, even for a short period of time? Dying is a taboo subject, but it can happen at any age. Is there someone who can fill your shoes? Would that person understand your vision for the sanctuary, both now and in the future? Is donor giving tied to you personally, and would donors continue to give in your absence? These issues apply whether you are the founder or a second- or third generation director, salaried or not. | en_UK |
