This essay argues that in the context of inequalities and future scarcity, one of the main challenges in the Global South is guaranteeing access to water and sanitation to most of the population and, in particular disadvantaged groups. In this regard, the article explores the right to water providing some insights on the enforceability of the right in Latin America. In this analysis, the impact of climate change on the right to water is considered. In particular, the author addresses the contribution of national courts to guaranteeing access to water by examining landmark rulings in Argentina.en_UK
