Abstract: The Amulree Jacobite collection has rested in the University of Stirling's library archives, practically unexplored following its bequeathal to the institution almost four decades ago. This article discusses its author, his antiquarian and authorial legacy and his fascinating collection of Jacobite-related material culture.
