| Abstract: | First paragraph: Las contribuciones reunidas en esta colección temática se remontan a un coloquio internacional llevado a cabo en la Universidad de Stirling en septiembre de 20161 que se distinguió por un objetivo claramente delimitado: el de investigar un género de texto de cristianización del mundo ibérico-americano de los siglos xvi al xviii. Escogimos el confesionario2 para que de esta manera fuera posible centrarnos en algunas interrogantes anteriormente acordadas y en textos comparables, especialmente las del contexto histórico y sociolingüístico y de la transmisión y traducción de conceptos y términos del castellano a las lenguas amerindias. |
