Abstract: | Social capital has been widely debated across the social sciences. This journal article summarises the implications of this debate for analyses of participation in adult learning, and also considers how adult learning may affect people's social networks. It concludes that these relationships are complex ones that matter for policy and practice, and also merit further research. |
