Abstract: First paragraph: This report has been prepared by the Institute for Retail Studies at the University of Stirling after discussion with, and funding from the Association of Convenience Stores. It is a desk-based exploration of retail diversity, using published planning, practice and academic materials. It aims to develop a clearer understanding of how diversity has been, and could be, viewed in retailing.
